Donald Diamond

Donald R. Diamond is chairman of Diamond Ventures, Inc. A renowned community, entrepreneur, business leader and financier, his business interests include a variety of real estate investments and development projects in the Western United States and Mexico as well as numerous companies operating across a broad array of industries.

He started his career as a commodity dealer on Wall Street before moving to Arizona where he was one of the original Phoenix Suns franchise owners, a general partner of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and an owner of the theme park movie location Old Tucson Studios, Old Pueblo Traders Fashion Catalogue Company, NBC affiliate KVOA-TV in Tucson, and more.

Diamond and his wife, Joan, both University of Arizona alumni, are known for their volunteer community involvement and philanthropic generosity. For over four decades they have played a major role in supporting hundreds of Tucson’s health, education and charitable service organizations including Diamond Children’s Medical Center at the University Medical Center.
